Whenever we are looking for something we need on the internet we tend to Google for the topic we are looking for and Google does it well to provide us a list of sites. We choose one site and start browsing it. Getting a list of sites which provide the similar information or say competitor sites for the current site using search takes a long time.
SimilarSites.com as it says provides alternatives for any sites. Just type in the URL and hit Search and it looks on the web for all Similar Sites and gets you the list.
Similar Sites has come up with an experimental add-on for Firefox which makes searching similar sites simple.
Other than searching similar sites the toolbar has following capabilities:
1. Email Notification for Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail or any other POP3 mail.
2. Weather Forecast
3. Online Radio Player

Checked the site you referred. This site is similar to similarsites.com but liked that they show the similarity in percentage in the results. Really nice feature. Have you checked xmarks.com?? It is better than these 2 sites.. Do check it if you did not check it yet.
Why do think xmarks is better? What sites did you search that xmarks gave better result for?
Xmarks is better in terms of other details provided related to the site. similar-site.com returns websites name, thats it!! whereas xmarks gives you websites + u can get more information about those websites, check their ranking etc etc.
