Google launches 300 extensions for Google Chrome Browser

Google held an event in Googleplex in Mountain View to showcase the new Chrome extensions. Google Chrome extensions list has already reached around 500 now. Google also showcased how easy it is to build a Google Chrome extension as two of its developers developed a Chrome extension from scratch during the presentation in not more than 5 mins. The extension build was not a basic but displayed a Gmail message window with the current page's link.

This is quickly attracting users and the developers. Chrome extensions are so easy to build because they are nothing else but a webpage which almost every developer is familiar with.

Currently Chrome offers pretty nice extensions like:

DotSpots

Shareaholic for Google Chrome
